Information: I recently graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Art. My area of emphasis was in photography and electronic media. Of all the types of artwork I have worked with, digital photography is my favorite. I like it because it is immediate. You capture a moment and are able to see the result right away. I also love playing with my images in the computer. Using computer programs allows me to change the images and turn them into something new. I have made artwork throughout my life, so I decided to major in Art because I thought I wanted to work in art for a career. Along the way, however, I changed my mind and now I will be returning to school for a second degree as a Nurse Practitioner. I will continue to make artwork, hopefully, for the rest of my life, and I will continue to post it on this site. Below is the link to my artist's statement. I don't really like the idea of having to have a statement. I think that the whole idea of visual art is to say something with imagery instead of words. To say what your work is all about is defeating the purpose, but I had to write one for school so I thought I would include it anyway.

This is me with Taki, my white german shepherd. She was rescued from an owner who was neglecting her. Rescued dogs are great! Everyone that I talk to who has a rescued dog says they are the sweetest and very loyal, plus they usually come to you already housebroken!
